Texas Tornado hits Kansas!!!!

Congratulations to all the members of Texas Speed who traveled to Wichita for the meet this weekend.  We really got to see some great racing and members of Texas speed really seemed to step up for this meet.   I didn’t get all the results to post, but if anyone has pictures, let me know.  In lieu of the results, let me just summarize the meet this way for those who missed. . .

A famous tornado once blew through Kansas picking up a girl named Dorothy.  This time it was a storm called Texas Speed that shook Roller City in Wichita.  Each Texas Speed member raced with the brains of  a scarecrow, the courage of a lion, and the heart of tin soldier.  Some of the kids were running around like Toto, but I won’t go there (“Bad Dog! Toto, NO!”).    “The yellow wood road”  mysteriously seemed to lead in circles yet traveled nonetheless to the end of our journey, the finish line.  We  found out that Sonny was the Wizard in the booth pulling the strings behind the scene, we won the Overall Team High-point Award, clicked our skates together (pushing from the heals of course), and hit the road sweeping up a mountain of trophies like a pack of flying monkies.

I am sure that everyone who went would agree that it certainly felt good to fall into bed late last night.   Indeed. . .  “There’s no place like home”
